Fire on The Mountain

Spruce Pine, NC

Drive East or West on I-40 to exit #86 at Marion, NC. Exit and follow signs to Hwy. 226/221. You will travel on 226/221 until you reach an intersection that #226 turns to the left. This is approximately 10 miles from the town of Marion. Take #226 to the left at the intersection then take the next right. This will be quite curvy and you will come to the top of the mountain and turn right under the Blue Ridge Parkway. Keep straight thru two traffic lights, at the third light you will be at the intersection of 19E and 226. You will go straight toward the town. At the second traffic light turn directly right onto Locust Street.

Fairview Farmer’s Market

Unfortunately due to work time restraints and stock status I will not be doing any of this Summer’s markets.

Heritage Weekend, Folk Art Center, Blue Ridge Parkway, Asheville, NC

The Craft Guild of the Southern Highlands sponsors a Heritage Weekend at the Folk Art Center on the Blue Ridge Parkway the third weekend of September each year. Come by and enjoy a glimpse of Mountain life as it was “Back then”. Demonstrations by artisans and crafters, food, and good old Mountain music and dance all weekend.

On Saturday I’ll be the demonstrator at the Antique Engine and Tractor Show at the WNC Ag Center in Fletcher, NC across from the Asheville airport.

The show runs for 3 days, Thursday October 19 through Saturday October 21.

There will be LOTS of old tractor and engine parts, GREAT displays, antique housewares, antique tractor pull, and FOOD!!!

If you like antique equipment, tools, and just old stuff in general come on by.

November 11, 2017

I will finally once again be present at the Fairview Holiday Gift and Craft Fair demo forging and visiting with everyone.

Two of the past three years my duties as a member of the Board of Directors of The Artist Blacksmith Association of North America has kept me from the show, but this year, (barring inclement weather), I’ll be back out front burning coal and pounding iron.

I would like to thank The Community for their friendship and support.

Hope to see you there!
